A complete list of all documents you need for your Wohngeld application. The more complete your documents, the faster your application will be processed.
The most important documents
- Identity card or passport
Valid identification document for all household members - Wohngeld application
Fully completed and signed application form - Tenancy agreement
Current tenancy agreement or rent certificate from the landlord - Proof of income
Salary statements, pension notices, income tax assessments for the last 12 months - Bank statements
Bank statements for the last 3 months for all household members - Child benefit proof
Current child benefit notice (if applicable) - Maintenance proof
Proof of maintenance payments made or received - Severely disabled person's pass
If applicable: proof of degree of disability
Additional documents
Depending on your individual situation, further documents may be required: proof of health and long-term care insurance contributions, proof of assets (savings, property ownership), BAföG notices for students, residence permit for foreign nationals or a current registration certificate.
